The hills near the community where we live, as long as they are born and raised up here, they called Mt. Norway. The original owner of our community named our neighborhood "Norway Green".
Today our septic tank has been in use for three years, and the county government stipulates that it needs to be tested every three years. The person who came to test for us, as soon as he arrived here, started to exchange pleasantries, and told me the history of their family here. It turned out that his great-uncle Back then, he graduated from the historic elementary school on the ground next door to our neighbor (now only the foundation of the historic site remains, and it is not allowed to be demolished), and his great-aunt once taught in this elementary school!
The small tree back then has grown into a big tree to shade my house from the sun in the west in the afternoon. He said that there is a museum nearby with photos from that year. Be sure to find time to check it out!
His great-uncle's parents were Norwegians, and they owned a lot of land here after immigrating, so they named this place Mt. Norway to commemorate where they came from.
I suddenly realized that this place really has something to do with Norway!
Watch him test a septic tank, and listen to his family stories while the occasional smell wafts through.
